Karate King

We’ve been running Karate King for a while now, right here near Janakpuri Metro Pillar 553. If you look for S 4/42, that is where we stay. It is not some big corporate chain or anything like that. It is just a regular hall with mats on the floor where we teach people how to move and defend themselves. Some days it gets really hot inside, but we have the fans going. Most of the kids from the neighborhood come by in the evenings after their school lets out. Their parents usually wait on the stools outside or go run errands while we practice. We don't have any flashy signs or a fancy lobby area. You just walk in, leave your shoes by the door, and start the drills. The floor gets a bit scuffed up from all the footwork, but we scrub it down every single night. We are just local people teaching what we know. Sometimes the noise from the metro overhead gets loud, but we just shout a bit louder to keep the count. It is a simple life here. We aren't trying to be the biggest school in the city, just a place where folks in Janakpuri can come and learn some discipline without a lot of fuss. We spend most of our time fixing stances and making sure everyone is doing their best. That is pretty much the whole story of our little shop. It is a humble place, but we take care of it and the students who show up every day.
