Kailash Paints & Chemicals

Our shop is located at 5/31 in the Industrial Area of Kirti Nagar. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s filled with the smell of wood and chemicals because of all the furniture and paint businesses around here. Kailash Paints & Chemicals has been tucked away in this spot for quite some time. The shelves are packed with tins of every color you can think of, and we have stacks of chemical drums in the back. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes, especially when a new delivery comes in and we haven’t found a place for everything yet. Our clothes usually have a few spots of paint on them by the end of the day, which is just part of the job. We talk to a lot of contractors and painters who are working on projects nearby. They know us by name, and we know what they usually need for their jobs. It isn't a retail store where everything is shiny and clean. It’s an industrial shop for people who are actually doing the painting and the building. We spend a lot of time mixing colors or helping people figure out how much thinner they need for a specific task. The floor is stained with spills from over the years, but it’s a place that works hard. We just keep the stock moving and try to be helpful.
