Our office for Jai Prakash Associate Ltd is at R-31 A in Moahan Gaeden, Uttam Nagar. New Delhi-110059 is a crowded place to be, and Mohan Garden is no exception at all. The streets are narrow and finding a spot to park the scooter can be a real challenge some days, especially on Mondays when the local market is just getting started. We have a small room on the ground floor where we keep all our supplies and desks. It gets a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at the same time, but we make it work somehow by moving chairs around. The walls are covered with calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves over the months to remember various deadlines and phone numbers. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a long time and we know most of the shopkeepers on the main road. The noise from the market nearby is constant, but you stop noticing it after the first hour of work in the morning. We handle various associate tasks and the paperwork never seems to end no matter how much we do. We use an old desktop computer that takes a few minutes to warm up every morning before we can start typing our reports. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals to talk about with people. We just want to finish the work we have for the day so we can go home to our families.
