Jai Durga Clinic

Jai Durga Clinic is right on Ranhola Road in the Som Bazar area of Vikas Nagar. It is a loud and busy part of Uttam Nagar, so there’s always something going on right outside our window. I’ve been working here for a bit now, seeing people from the local streets when they aren't feeling very well. Usually, it is just a common fever or a cough that someone can't seem to shake off. We have a small desk for paperwork and a few chairs for folks to sit in while they wait for their turn. It isn’t anything like the huge hospitals you might see in the city center. This is just a practical place for people nearby to get checked out without a long trip. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a while, but we just keep things moving as best we can. We know a lot of the families around here by their first names. If someone gets sick, they just walk over from Som Bazar and wait for a bit. The room is a little small, and maybe the walls could use some fresh paint, but it gets the job done. We don’t bother with fancy decorations or anything. We just focus on whoever walks through the door and try to figure out how to help them get back to their jobs and families. It is a decent way to spend the day, helping out the neighbors and keeping the clinic running on Ranhola Road.
