Indian Railways,On Deputation To Rites Ltd In Dmrc At Delhi

We’re based out of Janakpuri in New Delhi, specifically at B-I/ 469 on the first floor. It's a bit of a mix here because we’re part of the railways but currently working over with Rites Ltd for the DMRC projects. Delhi is always moving fast and we’re right in the middle of it trying to keep up with the metro work. The office isn't anything fancy, just a regular space where we handle the paperwork and coordination. It gets a little cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. Most of us have been on the job for years, moving from one assignment to another as needed. Working on the metro lines means a lot of late nights and early mornings. You can hear the city noise from the window all day long. We deal with technical stuff and making sure the plans actually happen on the ground. It’s not a glamorous life, just steady work in a busy neighborhood. People come in to drop off reports or check on progress. Sometimes the tea runs out before the afternoon, which is a bit of a problem. We’re just a small group trying to contribute to the big transport systems that everyone uses. It's practical stuff, nothing more, just doing what needs to be done to keep the city moving.
