Our place is over in Subhash Nagar, at 3/26 to be exact. It is quite different from those big industrial parks you see in other parts of the city. We have kept things very local here. Inside, it is mostly shelves filled with various electronic parts and the tools we use for our daily tasks. Subhash Nagar is a lively neighborhood, so there is always some kind of noise or activity going on right outside our front door. We have a small work area tucked in the back where we spend the majority of our hours. It is definitely not a quiet spot, between the sounds from the street and the constant humming of our own equipment, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We started this because we liked working with our hands and seeing how different pieces fit together. It has never been about being the biggest name in town; it is more about being a place where people can actually talk to the person doing the work. Sometimes we run short on space when a new load of supplies arrives, so the shop might look a little cluttered for a day or two while we sort it out. My cousin helps me out with the paperwork, although he usually says he would rather be out fixing things too. We do not have a corporate office or anything like that. It is just this one unit where we show up every morning, unlock the shutters, and see what the day brings us.
