We are over at Mayapuri Main Road, right in the thick of the industrial area Phase-II. If you know the spot, you know how busy it gets around here. Our shop, Guru Nanak Bearing Co., sits at C-213/3. It’s been here a while now. Most days it’s just us dealing with whatever mechanical parts people need for their machines. Bearings aren't the most exciting things to talk about, but they keep things moving. We spend a lot of time looking through shelves and checking sizes. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that's just part of being in an industrial zone. It’s not fancy. There’s no big reception or anything like that. Just a counter and a lot of steel. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. New shops open and others close down, but the noise of the traffic stays the same. Usually, someone drops by with a broken part and we see if we have the right fit. It’s practical work. We drink a lot of tea while we look for part numbers. The address is easy to find if you’re already in Mayapuri. We don't really do much online stuff, we just prefer when people walk in and show us what they need. It’s better to see the part in person anyway. We keep the place open pretty regular hours, and mostly it's just about getting the right bearing into the right hands so someone can get back to work.
