Grand Decor

We started Grand Decor at C 73 A Sharda Puri because we liked the area. Ramesh Nagar is a good place to be for a business like ours. It is mostly just us handling the rolls of material and trying to keep things tidy for when people walk in. It gets cramped in the shop sometimes when a big shipment of fabric arrives. We spend most of the morning moving heavy things around. People come in looking for stuff for their houses. Some know exactly what they want, others just stare at the samples on the walls for an hour. It is fine either way with us. We do not have a big fancy showroom, just the space here in Sharda Puri. The walls have samples everywhere. Sometimes the samples fall down and we have to pin them back up. It is a lot of manual work, lifting heavy things and measuring out the fabric for people. We have a couple of chairs for visitors, but usually, we are on our feet all day long. The street outside is usually quiet enough except for the occasional delivery truck. We have known the neighbors for years. If the sun hits the window right, the whole place brightens up. We try to keep the dust off the stock, but it is a constant battle. It is just a normal business. Nothing flashy about it. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help with their rooms. It keeps the days moving along.
