Getmyindia Foundation

Being at B-11 in Shankar Garden, Vikas Puri, means we deal with a lot of noise from the main road. We have the front portion of the ground floor, which is nice because nobody has to climb any stairs to talk to us. Getmyindia Foundation is really just a couple of rooms where we keep our papers and a few old computers that hum a bit too loudly when they’ve been on all day. The front door sticks sometimes when it rains, so you have to give it a real good shove to get inside. We have a small bench outside where the delivery guys sit when they have to wait. It’s a quiet enough street most afternoons, except when the school nearby lets out. We don’t really do much in terms of decorating, so the walls are just a plain off-white and there’s a big calendar pinned up that we usually forget to flip. Most of the time, we’re just sitting here answering phones or sorting through the mail that piles up on the corner desk. It feels like a home office more than anything else, which suits us just fine since we live not too far away anyway. We’ve been in this Vikas Puri spot for a while now and everyone knows where we are. It’s not a big corporate setup, just us trying to keep things organized and making sure the lights stay on while we work through our daily tasks.
