Garg Paints & Hardware

Garg Paints & Hardware is tucked away at WZ-257 in the Inderpuri Main Market. We are quite close to the Pusa Institute, so we get a lot of students and staff passing by. The shop isn't very large, but we make it work. We have been handling paints and tools for a long time now. It’s a dusty job, especially when the wind blows through the market. Most days involve lifting heavy boxes and counting out small items for customers. People stop in because they know we have what they need for their house projects. We don't have any fancy signs or neon lights. It’s just the name on a board and the stock inside. The floor is concrete and often has a few paint drops on it. That’s just part of the work. Sometimes we sit on the plastic stools outside when the shop is quiet. But usually, someone is asking for a specific pipe fitting or a liter of primer. We know the Inderpuri area well and the people who live here. It’s a community. If we don’t have something, we try to tell them where they might find it. We just run the shop the way we know how. There’s no big philosophy behind it. Just 257 Inderpuri, open for business every day, serving the local crowd. Sometimes the Pusa Institute staff come by for some maintenance supplies for their labs or offices. It's nice to have a chat with them about things other than hardware for a change.
