Era Constructions (I) Ltd.

We’ve been here in Nihal Vihar for a while now. The office is right by R.S. Public School, so it gets pretty noisy when the kids get out in the afternoon. We spend most of our time dealing with heaps of paperwork or talking to the guys at the various sites. It’s a busy spot in Nangloi. Sometimes the power goes out unexpectedly, but we just manage with what we have. We handle different building projects around this part of Delhi. It isn’t anything fancy, just a regular office with some basic desks and maps pinned on the wall. We know the local shopkeepers and the tea seller quite well. People often stop by to ask about work or just to see what we are building next. The traffic on the main road can be a real headache during the morning rush. We just try our best to get the jobs done on time. It is mostly about keeping track of the cement, the bricks, and the laborers. Every day is a bit different from the last. One day we are looking at blueprints, the next we are arguing with a supplier over a late delivery of steel. That is just how it goes here. We have a small, dedicated team. We drink a lot of tea while we work to keep us going through the long, dusty afternoons. The neighborhood knows us pretty well by now and we have become part of the local scene.
