Durga Electronics

If you find yourself walking through Ashok Mohalla, specifically in the Nangloi Bhoot Wali Gali area, you will probably see our small shop. Durga Electronics has been tucked away here for a good bit of time. It is a narrow street, so things can get a bit crowded when we have a lot of deliveries coming in. We keep a variety of spare parts and small gadgets on the shelves. Most of the time, the shop smells a bit like solder because someone is usually in the back working on a circuit board or a television set. We aren't one of those big malls where everything is shiny. It's a practical space. We know most of our neighbors by name since they stop by when a light fixture breaks or their remote stops working. Sometimes we have to hunt through boxes to find a specific wire a customer needs, but we usually find it eventually. The weather gets hot in this part of Delhi, so we have a fan going constantly, which makes a bit of noise. It's just a simple life here, selling parts and doing small repairs for the people living nearby. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just open up the shutters in the morning and see who comes through the door. It’s been our daily routine for years now and we like it that way. If the shop is a bit messy, it's just because we were busy fixing something.
