We are over at E- 298 on the 1st Floor in Karampura, New Delhi. DTDC is a name a lot of people recognize, but here at this specific branch, we’re just a small group of people working hard every day. Karampura is a busy, older part of Delhi, and our office on the first floor looks out over the street where there’s always something happening. We handle courier and cargo, so our days are filled with weighing parcels, sticking on labels, and loading up the vans. It’s a very physical job. The office isn't anything fancy; it’s mostly just shelves and counters. We’ve been here for a good while, and we know many of the people who come in by their first names. We don’t have any polished corporate speeches. We just tell people how much it will cost and when it should get there. Sometimes the computers are slow or the rain slows down the deliveries, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We try our best to keep things moving. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but we keep the fans on and keep working. We aren't trying to be the most high-tech place in the world. We just want to get the parcels delivered on time. That’s our day from start to finish.
