Daewoo E&C, Seoul, South Korea

Our office for Daewoo E&C is tucked away in the Hari Nagar area of New Delhi. Specifically, we are at CC-40F in the G-8 area. Even though the company has its roots in Seoul, South Korea, this local branch is very much a part of the Delhi landscape. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of houses and small shops nearby. Our office isn't huge, but it’s where all the local coordination happens. We have a few desks, some computers, and a lot of maps and project plans pinned to the walls. The traffic in Hari Nagar can be a bit of a nightmare during rush hour, so most of us try to arrive early. We spend our day talking to contractors and checking in with the main office back in Seoul. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication. We don't have any flashy signs or expensive furniture. It’s just a place to sit and work. There’s a small shop nearby where we get our samosas and tea in the afternoon. Sometimes the power goes out, which is just part of living in Delhi, so we have a backup to keep the computers running. The neighbors are mostly families, so it feels quite grounded and real. We’ve been here for a bit now and have a good handle on how things work in this part of the city. It’s just us, doing our part for the bigger projects that come through.
