Our office is down in the basement at 26/84 in West Patel Nagar. Being near the mandir means there is always something going on outside. You hear the bells and the people passing by, which is quite nice actually. It keeps the day from feeling too quiet or lonely. Circular Leaf Ventures Private Limited isn't some high-rise office. We’re literally underground, so it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is a big win in Delhi’s heat. The stairs are a bit steep and narrow, so you really have to watch your step when you come down. We’ve set up our desks where the light hits best from the small vents. It’s a small space, but we’ve made it our own with some old plants. There is always a stray cat that hangs around near the entrance waiting for scraps. Sometimes we forget what time it is because we don’t have many windows, but we get the work done regardless of the hour. West Patel Nagar is a good spot to be. It’s central enough that most things are a quick trip away on the metro. We don’t go for anything fancy or expensive. The furniture is just stuff we picked up because it was functional for our needs. We like the honesty of working from a basement. It feels like we’re part of the neighborhood fabric. It’s just how we run things here—no fuss.
