Charanjit Bharmota

Charanjit Bharmota is who I am, and D-176 in the DDA Flats is where you’ll find me. This is in Pocket 3 of Bindapur, New Delhi. If you know Delhi, you know these Mig flats can be a bit of a maze if you’re new. I’ve been set up here for a good while now. It’s a typical neighborhood where everyone is always in a hurry, but we try to keep things grounded. My office is basically a room converted to handle the daily business. It’s packed with files and some old furniture, but it works for what we do. I don't believe in spending a lot on fancy decorations when the work is what matters. Mostly, I deal with local folks who need something specific handled. It gets a bit noisy during the day with the traffic and the kids playing outside, but you get used to it. I started this on my own because I wanted to work for myself. It’s not always easy, especially with how competitive things are in the city, but we keep going. There isn't a huge staff here. It’s a small group, very informal. We drink a lot of tea and just focus on the tasks at hand. It’s a very local feel, nothing like those big glass buildings downtown. We’re just part of the Bindapur community, doing our bit every day without any big fuss. We keep the doors open till late most nights to get everything done.
