The Builders Association of India is located at Shivam House, which is number 53 in the Old Lajpat Rai Market area, right near Jama Masjid. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s one of the busiest spots you can find. The market is always crowded, and getting to our office involves navigating through a lot of people and stalls. We’ve been in this building for a long time. It’s a bit of an old-school setup. We don’t have those modern glass walls or anything. It’s more about being a central place for people in the building trade to gather and talk about what’s going on. We deal with a lot of members who come in to discuss regulations, problems with sites, or just to catch up on the industry. It’s more of a community hub than a standard company office. There’s always someone stopping by with a question about a project or a new rule that’s come out. We try to keep track of everything, but it gets chaotic with all the documents and meetings. The area around Jama Masjid has its own vibe, very traditional and loud. We like it though, it feels like we’re right in the heart of the old city where things actually happen. We aren’t here to sell anything, just to be the point of contact for builders in the region. It’s practical work, mostly listening and coordinating between different people in the trade for years now.
