Bamboo Trading Co. is located at R-6, Vani Vihar, which is part of the Uttam Nagar area. If you come by, you’ll see that our place is often filled with long poles and bundles of raw material. It’s a bit of a dusty environment because of what we handle. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights. Instead, it’s more of a functional yard and a small office space where we track the orders. The smell of cut bamboo is always in the air here. Uttam Nagar is a lively spot, and our street sees a lot of foot traffic and local carts moving by. We’ve been working out of Vani Vihar for quite some time now. The gates stay open during the day so we can move the stock in and out. It’s physical work, and we are usually pretty tired by the time the evening rolls around. We don't use much fancy technology, just the basics to keep things running. The guys in the shop have been here for years, so we have a good rhythm. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain leaks in the monsoon, just like everyone else on this block. It’s an honest way to spend the day, surrounded by natural materials and the daily hustle of the neighborhood.
