Down here in Basai Dara Pur, things stay pretty busy throughout the week. Our place is at Wz-505, which isn't the biggest office, but it fits everything we need for the import and export stuff we handle. There are usually stacks of papers and shipping forms all over the main table. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking emails to see where shipments are. The street outside is narrow, so when a truck comes to drop off samples, everything kind of stops for a minute. It’s a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we keep the windows shut most of the time. We don’t really do fancy meetings. Usually, if someone comes by, we just clear a spot on the bench and talk right there. We deal with all sorts of items going back and forth, and sometimes the paperwork is a real headache with all the different rules. My desk is right by the door, so I see everyone coming and going. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making coffee when the afternoons get long. It’s not a corporate office like you see in movies, just a functional space where we get the logistics sorted out. We’ve been in this part of town for a bit and know the neighbors pretty well. Most days are just about making sure the boxes get where they need to go without too much trouble.
