Our shop is at number 1 in the Central Market area of Punjabi Bagh West. It’s right there on Western Avenue, which is a place that never really stays quiet. Being a family-run spot, you’ll often find one of us behind the counter or checking on things in the back. We have been here for decades, and the building shows its age a little, but we like it that way. There is a lot of history in these walls. We remember when the market was much smaller than it is now. Every morning begins with cleaning the front and getting things ready for the day's visitors. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It's just us and a few helpers who have become like family over the years. We talk to people who walk in, sometimes about work and sometimes just about the neighborhood. It’s a comfortable place where we don't feel the need to rush everything. The evening rush in Punjabi Bagh can be quite something, with all the cars and people looking for a bit of shopping. We just keep our lights on and stay until the work is finished. It’s not about being the biggest; it’s just about being here and doing what we know how to do. We don't use fancy talk, we just get on with the business of the day.
