Auto House

You can find us over at Okhla Head, specifically in the Abul Fazal Enclave area. We operate out of H35-A, and the place is under the name of Rizwan Raj. It is a very busy part of New Delhi, with a lot of noise and people moving about at all hours of the day. Auto House is basically where we deal with car parts and various automotive needs that people bring to us. The street outside is usually lined with all sorts of vehicles and there is always someone honking or trying to squeeze a rickshaw through the narrow gaps. Our workspace is filled with boxes and different metal components that we try to organize as best as we can, though it often looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. It is a practical environment, not a fancy showroom with glass windows. We spend the day talking to mechanics and local people looking for specific parts that are sometimes hard to find in the bigger shops. The dust from the main road comes in quite a bit, so we are often wiping down the counters and the shelves. We have been in this specific spot for a long time and we know most of the other shop owners on the block. It is a tight-knit community despite how chaotic the streets might look. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries or help out the people who stop by with their questions about car repairs.
