Our place is located at Plot Number 32B in Ravi, right on Lane Number 16. It is where we coordinate all the Vedic ceremony services for Ashtakam. It’s a bit of a specific spot to find if you aren't familiar with the lane numbers around here, but once you find Lane 16, it’s easy. We spend our days arranging things for different types of traditional ceremonies. There is usually a lot of scheduling involved. People call us when they have something coming up in their family, like a wedding or a prayer service. We have to make sure everything is ready and the right people are available to help out. It can get a little hectic during the festival seasons or when there are a lot of auspicious dates falling in the same week. We keep a lot of notes and registers to keep track of who needs what. The office isn't very large, but it serves its purpose for the planning we do. We try to be helpful when people ask questions about how things work. Most of the time, we are just making phone calls and checking our calendars. It’s important work for the community, and we take it seriously even if we’re just a small team working out of this spot. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we get back to it soon enough. It’s just how things go when you're running a local service.
