Akash Dental Clinic

Being right at the Paschim Vihar Crossing red light means there is always traffic noise. We are at 14/485 Sunder Vihar, just off the Outer Ring Road. It’s a busy spot in Delhi, so people find us easily because they pass by every day on their way to work or home. The clinic isn't very large. We have the dental chair and the equipment set up in the main room. Sometimes the light from the street is so bright we have to keep the blinds down. Patients come in complaining about toothaches or wanting a cleaning. Most of them live in the nearby blocks. We spend a lot of time washing instruments and making sure everything is ready for the next person. The waiting area has a few old magazines that nobody really reads anymore. We probably should replace them. It gets a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, so we are always wiping down the counters. I’ve been working here for a while now and I know which patients are going to be late because of the traffic at the red light. It's a regular dental practice. Nothing too special to look at, just a place where we do our work. We see a lot of kids who are scared of the drill, so we try to talk to them about school or cartoons. It’s just us here, doing what we can for the people in Sunder Vihar. Days are long but the work is steady.
