Aasha Ek Roshini Foundation

Our place is in Madipur Village, right near the Lal Quarter. It’s on the second floor at Wz-248/1. If you know the area, it’s not too hard to find. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors are used to seeing us. The office is just a regular room where we keep our files and meet up. It’s nothing fancy, just a few desks and some cupboards. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just our name on the door. Working in the village is nice because it’s always lively. There’s always someone walking by or a bit of music playing somewhere nearby. We spend our days mostly on the phone or writing things down. It gets a bit hot in the summer, but we make do with a small fan. We aren’t a huge team, just a few people trying to get things done. Sometimes we have tea together and talk about how the week is going. It’s a practical space. We don’t spend money on fancy furniture or decorations. We’d rather just focus on the tasks we have. It’s been a good spot for us so far. We like being close to the local markets and the people around here. It feels like we’re part of the neighborhood. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. We usually lock up around six and head home like everyone else.
