Aakash Universal Ltd.

Our place is the Aakash Marble House over on A.G. Link Road in Chakala. If you know Charat Singh Colony, we are at 441/13. It is a very busy road, and there is always a lot of dust from the marble and the traffic outside. We have stacks of stone everywhere for Aakash Universal Ltd. Some of it is heavy and takes a couple of guys to move around. It is a messy business, honestly. Your shoes are always white by the end of the day from the stone dust. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit. The roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we just put a bucket under it and keep going. We deal with people coming in looking for specific types of stone for their floors or kitchens. Sometimes they stay for an hour looking at different slabs. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights; we just show them what is in the yard. It is a lot of lifting and moving things with the crane. The guys who work here have been with us for years. We all just know the routine. It’s a loud place because of the cutting saws, but you get used to it after a while. We just try to keep the inventory moving and make sure the trucks can get in and out without hitting anything.
