Out here in Phase 1 of Budh Vihar, we are in Office C/9. It’s an industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and the sound of machines nearby. We deal with bearings. They are heavy and greasy, and they come in all sorts of sizes. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and moving boxes around. The floor is concrete and it stays cool in the winter. It’s not the kind of place you’d come for a fancy meeting. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a desk that’s seen better days. The light in the office is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. We keep a small radio on the shelf to hear the news. We spend most of the day on the phone or checking the labels on the crates. If a shipment is late, the whole day feels off. We are just a small part of the big industrial chain. Budh Vihar can be a bit dusty when the wind blows. We keep a rag handy to wipe down the boxes. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on getting the right part to the right person. Sometimes we eat lunch at the desks because there is too much to count. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We’ve been in this office for quite a while now. The metal shelves groan a bit when we add more weight to them.
