Ali Kirana Store

Ali Kirana Store is over here in Word No 02, in the East Champaran area of Sabdigin. Our place is on Hospital Road, and you can see the State Bank of India from nearby. Being near the bank and the hospital means there are always people walking past the door. Some are going to the hospital and look a bit worried, while others are just waiting for the bank to open. We keep the store open long hours. The shelves at Ali Kirana Store are crammed with all sorts of things, from small packets of spices to bigger bags of grain. Sabdigin is a busy spot, especially on Hospital Road. The dust from the road comes in sometimes, so we spend a lot of time dusting off the jars and tins. It is a small shop, so you have to watch where you step when we have a delivery coming in. I usually sit near the front so I can see everyone coming in from Word No 02. We don't really have any big plans, just staying here and making sure the shop stays stocked. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things for the customers. It is just a normal life running a kirana store in East Champaran. People know us by name, and we know what they usually want before they even ask. It is just how it is.
