Aasthadev Social Welfare Foundation

Aasthadev Social Welfare Foundation is located in Village Jhauwaram. Our post office is Karsahiya and we fall under the Dhaka police station area in East Champaran. It’s a very rural part of Bihar, so things are quite peaceful most of the time. Getting here takes a bit of driving on small roads, but it’s a nice area. We work out of a small building that used to be something else. We keep it simple because we don't need much to do our jobs. There are a few of us who handle the daily tasks and look after the paperwork. It’s mostly about helping the people in the village and the nearby areas. We know the struggles people face here because we live here too. Sometimes the rain makes the roads difficult, but we still manage to show up. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just talk to people and do what we can. Our office is open to anyone who needs to come by and chat. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear regular clothes and speak like everyone else in the village. Life in East Champaran has its ups and downs, but we are here to stay. We just want to be useful to our neighbors in the 845418 zip code. It’s hard work, but someone has to do it.
