Down here in Naihati, we spend our days at Hguru Instruments Industries Pvt. Ltd. working on various instruments and parts. We are located at 1, Bijoynagar, and the post office is right there in Naihati too. It’s in the North 24 Pgs district, so it’s a bit of a journey for some, but we like it here. The workshop isn't massive, just enough room for the benches and the tools we need every day. My father started things around here and we just kept going with it. The weather gets really humid, especially during the monsoon months, which makes the metal work a bit tougher. We usually start early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a specific gauge or a repair. We don't do much advertising, people just know we are here in Bijoynagar 743 165. The street can get a little crowded with bikes and people walking to the station. We keep the doors open mostly to let some air in while we work. It’s a simple life, really. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to make sure everything fits like it’s supposed to. It’s not a corporate headquarters, just a place where things get built by hand. We finish up around evening and head home. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make good instruments for the people who need them.
