Gammon Cooling Towrs Ltd

Down here in Durgapur, at 46 S.N Banerjee Road, we’ve been part of the landscape for a long time. This part of West Bengal has a lot of heavy work going on, and we handle the cooling tower side of it. Burdwan district is where we spend most of our time. It’s a lot of steel and concrete work. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we keep the replacement parts and the heavy tools. You can usually find us covered in a bit of rust or grease. We’ve seen the industry change around here, but the need for good cooling stays the same. We take the bus or drive our old truck to the sites. Sometimes the weather in Durgapur gets really humid, which makes the work twice as hard. We don't really follow a strict 9-to-5 schedule. If a tower needs fixing, we stay until it’s done. People know where to find us if they have a problem. We don’t spend much time on the computer. We’d rather be out there looking at a blueprint or tightening bolts. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done. We handle the gearboxes, the motors, and all the piping that goes along with it. It’s noisy and messy, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we like. We’ve been at this address for years and don’t plan on moving anytime soon.
