Our office is located in Bhagat Chamber, right on N.S. Road. We are up on the 5th floor in Room No. 1. It’s an old building, so it has that specific smell of old paper and wood that you only find in this part of town. Raj Kumar Shellac Industries has been around this area for a long time. Dealing with shellac is a bit of a niche thing, but it’s what we know best. We spend our days talking to suppliers and checking on different batches. The stairs can be a bit much if the lift is acting up, which happens more than we’d like to admit. It’s a busy street outside, always noisy with horns and people shouting throughout the day. Inside the room, it’s mostly just us keeping track of inventory and making sure the quality is where it needs to be. We don’t have a flashy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a place where work happens. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in through the windows, and we have to wipe down the desks every single morning. It’s a family-run kind of feel here. We’ve known some of our customers for decades. We don't use big words or try to act like we're more than we are. We just supply shellac and try to be fair about the pricing. Every day is pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We like the routine. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night.
