Vinayaka Hospital

If you are in Sulthan Bathery, you probably know where we are. Vinayaka Hospital has been part of this community for quite some time. The air is usually a bit cooler up here, which helps keep the patients comfortable. Our building is functional and we don’t spend much on decorations or fancy lighting. It’s about the work inside. I start my day early, checking on the rooms and making sure the floors are mopped. We have people coming in from all the nearby villages. Some walk quite a distance or take the bus. The waiting area can get crowded, especially on Mondays. I remember when we first opened, it was a lot smaller, but we had to add more space over the years. The staff here are locals, so they speak the language and understand what people need. We don’t use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. If someone is hurting, we try to help them out as best as we can. The equipment isn't the newest model you'd find in a big city, but it works and we take care of it. Sometimes the neighbors bring in snacks for the nurses, which is nice. It feels like a small family here most of the time. We just keep our heads down and do the daily tasks that need doing to keep the place running.
