Suvarnaragam

You can find us on Block Office Road in Kalpetta. Wayanad is a beautiful place to be, and our spot here in town stays quite busy because of where we are located. Suvarnaragam has been around for some time now. We open the doors early in the morning, and usually, the first thing we do is sweep the front and get the lights on. It’s a regular shop where people from the local neighborhood drop in to see what’s new or just to pick up something they need quickly. We don’t have those big flashy signs or anything like that. It is just a practical space with shelves and counters. The traffic on Block Office Road can get a bit loud during the afternoons, but inside, we just focus on the people who come in. Sometimes visitors stay for a bit of a chat about the weather or local news before they head back out into the rain. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. It feels like a real community here in Kalpetta. The stock changes depending on what we can get in, so there is always something different to look at on the shelves. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s a small team of us working here, making sure things are tidy and people find what they are looking for. It’s a simple way to spend the day.
