Sahakarana Nidhi Limited

Our office for Sahakarana Nidhi Limited is in Room No. A P. 7 714, right by the Ambalavayal Panchayath. It’s a small room in a busy building. If you’re around Ambalavayal Po, you probably know where we are. We handle things like small savings accounts and gold loans for the people living nearby. It’s a simple setup. Inside, you will find a couple of wooden chairs for visitors and a safe in the corner. Most of our members are farmers or small shop owners from the village. They come in to deposit a few rupees every week. Knowing most of them by their first names is common here, and we usually ask about their families while writing out receipts. It gets pretty humid in the afternoons, so the ceiling fan is always running. We don't do any big marketing. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us. Someone tells their cousin, and then the cousin comes in to open an account. That’s how a community works. Keeping our overhead low is important so we can stay open for the long haul. The paperwork can be a lot sometimes, but we stay on top of it. We’re just local people trying to help other local people manage their money without any fuss. If the office door is open, someone is inside ready to help.
