We are located right opposite the police station in Pulpally, which makes it very easy to find us if you’re in this part of Wayanad. Peppercorn Spices International Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big name, but we’re just a group of people working out of this building. Wayanad is a beautiful area, and being in Pulpally means we are close to where a lot of things grow. The weather can be a bit damp, which we have to keep an eye on because of the spices. Our building is a simple one. It’s not modern or glass-fronted. We spend our days checking the quality of what comes in and making sure it’s stored right. Sometimes the traffic near the police station gets a bit much, especially on market days. You can hear the local buses going past all day. We’ve been here for a good bit of time now. The staff mostly comes from the surrounding villages. We don’t have a big corporate culture or anything like that. We just talk, work, and have our lunch together. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit if it’s not raining. It’s a practical life. We handle a lot of pepper, as you might guess from the name. It gets into your clothes and makes you sneeze if you aren't careful. We just keep at it, day after day. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just focusing on the work at hand here in Pulpally. That's pretty much us.
