The Travel Desk

The Travel Desk is located in the MMJ Arcade. We are right near the Toufeeque Hotel. In fact, if you find the hotel, you’ve basically found us. It’s a landmark in this neighborhood. Our office is where we plan trips and book tickets for people. It’s not a large space. We have a couple of desks with computers and some old travel posters on the walls. People come in when they want to go somewhere, whether it’s a bus ride to the next town or a flight somewhere far away. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking schedules online. It can get a bit hectic when it’s holiday season. There are always papers on the desks and the printer is usually running. We aren't a big travel agency with a lot of branches. It’s just this one spot. We’ve known many of our customers for years. They live nearby and stop by to chat about their plans. The area around MMJ Arcade is quite lively. You can always smell the food from the hotel nearby. We don't have any fancy booking machines, just our computers and what we know about the routes. Sometimes things go wrong with a booking and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it. That’s just the travel business. We stay open pretty late to make sure everyone gets their tickets. It’s a simple, local way to run things. We are just here to help you get from one place to another without too many headaches.
