Ashwin Spices

If you are ever near the Sulthan Batheri Bus Stand, you have probably walked right past us. Ashwin Spices is located in the Chungam area, which is always busy with people coming and going. We have a small shop where we sell all sorts of local spices like black pepper, cloves, and cardamom. Because we are so close to the bus stand, we get a lot of travelers who want to take some of the Wayanad flavors back home with them. It is a loud spot with the buses constantly pulling in and out, but we like the energy of it. We spend our days weighing out bags of spices and chatting with the drivers and the commuters. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with sacks of goods. We don't do anything too fancy with the packaging; we just focus on the stuff inside. It is a family-run kind of thing and we have been here for a long time. People know us as the place to get decent spices without having to wander too far from the main road. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a big group of tourists arrives, but we manage to get everyone sorted out eventually. The air around the shop always smells like a mix of ginger and tea. It is just a normal local business doing its thing every day in Sulthan Batheri. Stop by whenever you are catching a bus.
