Our place is the Mullayin Kalathil House, located in Vythiri, specifically the Chundale area of Wayanad. It’s a beautiful part of Kerala, though we are usually too busy with containers to notice the scenery. Alnad Exports And Imports Private Limited started because we had good connections with local suppliers in the region. We handle a variety of goods coming in and going out at all hours. The office is part of a residential-style building, so it feels very grounded and not at all corporate. We don't have a glass skyscraper or a big lobby with a receptionist. Usually, there is a lot of chatter about logistics and customs clearances. Wayanad is a bit far from the main ports, so we have to plan our transport routes carefully. Sometimes things get stuck in traffic near the ghats for hours. It can be frustrating but it’s part of the job. We have a small team here who handles everything from the paperwork to checking the quality of the wooden crates. It’s a lot of responsibility to make sure the right items get to the right people. Most days we are just drinking tea and staring at spreadsheets. We’ve been operating for a while and have built up some decent relationships with the drivers and agents. It’s not a glamorous life, just steady importing and exporting. We try to keep our overhead low and our focus on getting the tasks done without much fuss.
