Up in the hills at Meppadi, you will find Al-Faz Tea Estate Private Limited. We are located in Building No.16/207C, right on Kettakali Kshetram Road in Nedumbala. Working with tea is a different kind of life compared to the city. It is all about the weather and the timing of the pick. We do not have a flashy corporate office with air conditioning and fancy desks. Most of our day is spent out where the tea grows or in the processing building where the leaves are dried. Meppadi is a beautiful place, but it is also a lot of hard work to maintain an estate properly. We are not some big international conglomerate. We are just a local team that knows this land and knows how to handle the tea leaves once they are plucked. It is a messy job sometimes, and the work days can be very long during the peak picking season. We do not spend money on big advertising campaigns or brochures. The tea we produce speaks for itself, and that is how we like it. We have been through some tough years with the rain and the changes in the market, but we are still here. We handle everything from the growing to the final packing right here in Nedumbala. It is a simple process, even if it takes a lot of effort to get it right. We just like the quiet life up here.
