Our business, 24 Carrots Restaurants and Hotels Private Limited, is based in Kaithakkal. That's over in Panamaram P.O. in the Wayanad district. It's a beautiful part of Kerala, though it gets very quiet at night. We don't have a big glass office in the city. We work from here because it’s where we are from. The 670721 area is mostly hills and greenery. Our setup is pretty basic. We manage the restaurant and hotel business from a simple building. There's no corporate polish here. We wear regular clothes and talk to our neighbors. Sometimes the internet is slow because of the weather in Wayanad, but we get things done. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers. It’s a lot of work keeping things running in the hospitality trade. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do right by the people who visit us. Panamaram is a small place, so word gets around fast. We like the slow pace of life here. Kaithakkal is home to us. We’ve got some old chairs and a big wooden table where we do all our planning. It’s not fancy, but it works. 24 Carrots is just a local business trying to make a go of it in the hills. We keep it real and stay busy with the day-to-day tasks. When the mist comes down, it’s a nice place to sit and work.
