Patel Tiles

Patel Tiles is located right in Patel Nagar, and we are very close to Shivaji School. You can usually hear the kids playing or the school bell ringing from our front door. Being near the school means there is always some movement on the street, which is nice. We have a decent space here where we show different tile patterns. It is not one of those big showrooms with air conditioning and fancy lights. We just have the samples out on the racks so you can see the colors for yourself. We started this because we saw a lot of houses going up in this area and figured people needed a local place to get their flooring done. We handle the lifting and the stacking ourselves most of the time. If you come by in the evening, you might see us sitting out front just watching the traffic. We don't have a big corporate office. It is just the shop and the storage area. We try to help people figure out how many boxes they need so they don't end up with too much left over. It is a simple way of working. Most of our customers are locals who live within a few kilometers. We know their families and they know ours. The school bells are a good way to tell the time without looking at a watch. When the kids head home, we know it's almost time to start closing up. We keep a small kettle in the back for making tea when neighbors stop by to chat.
