My office is located in Shivaji Nagar on the Warud Main Road. This is over in the Amravati district, very close to the bus stand. Because the bus stand is right there, there are always people coming and going nearby. You can hear the buses pulling in and the conductors calling out destinations throughout the day. It is a very lively spot to be. The office itself is just a regular room with some wooden furniture and quite a lot of papers stacked up. I have been in Warud for many years and most people in town know exactly where to find me. The building isn't anything special to look at, just one of the many concrete structures along the main road. The paint is peeling a little bit in the corner near the window, but nobody seems to mind it. I usually start my morning with a cup of tea and a look at the work that needs my attention. It gets quite dusty because of all the buses moving around, so I have to wipe my desk down several times a day. People often drop by without any appointment, just walking in from the street to ask a quick question or talk about their business. That is just how we do things in a place like this. We don’t have a receptionist, so it is just me here. If I am busy with someone, the others just wait outside for a bit.
