We go by Ashoka Tea & Consumer Products Industries Llp. Our place is in the Gurunanak Ward, inside the Sindhi Colony in Hinganghat. This is over in the Wardha district. It’s a bit of a distance from the big cities, but we like the pace here. We handle tea and other consumer goods that people use every day. Our building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can store our stuff and do the paperwork. The Sindhi Colony is a tight-knit area, so everyone knows what everyone else is doing. We’ve been part of this community for a while. The weather gets really hot in this part of Maharashtra, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done early in the morning. We don't have a bunch of suits or fancy meetings. Usually, we just sit around a table with a fan blowing and figure out the schedule for the week. It’s straightforward work. We buy, we pack, we sell. We don't try to make it sound like more than it is. Some days the internet is slow and we can’t get much done online, so we focus on the physical stock instead. We are just local people trying to run a decent business and provide for our families. That’s the reality of it. It’s not glamorous, but it is ours and we work hard to keep it going despite the heat and the slow days.
