Yakalakshmi Farms

Things move at their own pace here at Yakalakshmi Farms. We are over at H.No:-10-153/4 in Khanapur, which is right in the Warangal district. It’s not a huge place, but it is enough for us to keep busy. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and then we head out to see what needs the most attention. Sometimes it is the irrigation pipes that have a leak, or maybe the goats got into something they shouldn't have. We don't have a lot of fancy words for what we do, we just farm. It is a lot of repetitive work, like digging and hauling bags of feed or fertilizer around. We've lived in this part of Khanapur for quite a while now. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, so we just take it as it comes. Our address at H.No:-10-153/4 is basically where everything happens, from the planning to the actual heavy lifting. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It is just us and the land. We try to keep the place tidy but it’s a farm, so there is always a bit of mud or dust somewhere. We don't mind it much. It is just the way things are when you work outside all day. We just hope for a good harvest and enough rain to keep the wells from going dry.
