Yadamma Farms

Yadamma Farms is located out in Kothur, which is part of Khanapur in Warangal. Our place is H. No:-1-102/9. It’s a farm, so there is always something that needs fixing or water that needs moving. We grow a few different things depending on what time of year it is and how much rain we get. Farming isn’t easy, you’re always at the mercy of the weather. Some years are good and some are a bit of a struggle, but we keep at it because it’s what we know how to do. The kids help out after school sometimes, though they’d rather be doing other things I’m sure. We have a few cows too, so the mornings start early with milking and feeding. It’s a quiet life for the most part, away from the big city noise. We don’t have any big tractors or fancy machinery, just the basic tools and our hands. People from the village often stop by to see what we’ve got ready for harvest. We don’t sell to big supermarkets, mostly just local markets or people coming directly to the gate. The soil here is decent if you treat it right. It’s honest work, even if your hands are always dirty and your boots are covered in mud. We’ve lived on this land for a long time and don’t plan on going anywhere else.
