Vijaya Farming

Vijaya Farming is basically just a small family operation. We’re located over at H. No:-1-73/A in Kothur. It’s a quiet spot in Khanapur and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Farming isn't really a job for us, it's just what we do every single day. We wake up while it’s still dark and head out to the fields. The Warangal sun can be pretty brutal in the afternoons so we try to get the hardest work done early. We don't have any fancy corporate offices or marketing people. It’s just us and the land. Sometimes the crops are great and sometimes they aren't, depending on how much rain we get. We spend a lot of time fixing things like fences or the old tractor that always seems to have a problem. The house is right there by the field, so we never really leave work behind. We don't use any high-tech stuff. It’s mostly just manual labor and using what we have. People in the village know us by name and we like it that way. We aren't trying to be the biggest farm around. We just want to do a decent job and keep the place running. It’s a lot of sweat and dirt, but it’s an honest life. We just take things one day at a time here in Kothur. Not much more to it than that.
