About Thirupathi Cycle Repairs – Chemicals in Warangal
My repair shop is located at house 2-46/2 in Nandigama, which is part of the Nallabelly area in Warangal. I spend most of my day sitting on a low stool surrounded by old tires and rusted frames. There is always a cycle or two hanging from the rafters or flipped over on the dirt outside so I can get to the chain. My hands are almost always black from the oil and grease, and it never really washes off completely. People from the village bring their bikes when they have a flat tire or when the brakes stop working right. I have a small bucket of water that I use to find the bubbles in the inner tubes to see where the hole is. It’s a quiet life, mostly spent listening to the sound of the hand pump or the clinking of wrenches. The shop is just a small space with a tin roof that gets very hot in the summer and very loud when it rains. I keep a box of old bolts and nuts that I’ve collected over the years because you never know when a weird part might be needed. I don't have any fancy diagnostic tools, just my eyes and ears to figure out what’s rattling. Most of the bikes around here are old and have seen a lot of use on the farm roads. I just do my best to keep them rolling so people can get to work or school.
