Thakur Transport

You can find us at 2-2-118 in Errasomula Thanda, out here in Thorrur. We run a transport business, so our lives mostly revolve around trucks, schedules, and the road. It started out with just a couple of vehicles and we’ve slowly just kept things moving. We handle a lot of different types of loads for people in the area. It’s not an easy job, especially with the state of the roads sometimes and the long hours the drivers have to put in. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating where everyone needs to be. Sometimes things go wrong, a tire blows or there’s a delay, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. We don't have a big fancy headquarters. It’s more of a functional space where we keep the logs and talk to the drivers. We know most of the people around Thorrur who need things moved from one place to another. We just try to be fair and get the job done without too much fuss. It’s a bit of a gritty business, lots of grease and diesel, but it suits us fine. We’ve been part of this community for a while and we just keep on driving. There is always something that needs to be hauled somewhere else. We just make sure there is a truck ready to do it when the call comes in.
