Tejaswai Residential School

Our school is out in Erragattu, which is part of the Hanamkonda area in Warangal. Since it is a residential school, things are a bit different here compared to day schools. The students are around all the time, so there is never really a quiet moment. We start the day quite early with everyone getting ready for breakfast. The building is sturdy and sits in a spot where you can see a bit of the surrounding landscape. We have dorms where the kids stay, and they spend a lot of time together. It feels more like a big house than an office. The staff stays busy checking on the rooms and making sure the dining hall is ready for the next meal. In the evenings, after the lessons are over, you can see the students hanging out in the common areas or doing their homework. Warangal has its own pace, and we definitely follow that here. The routine is the most important thing for us. We make sure the lights are out at a certain time, and then we do it all over again the next day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is what we do. The Erragattu area is a decent place to be, and we have made a life for ourselves here among the books and the bunk beds. It is a very grounded existence for the teachers and students alike.
