Tarachand Agarwal

Living and working in Hanamkona is different from the big cities. My name is Tarachand Agarwal and I’ve been running things here in Brahminwada for a long time. People around here know the address 6-4-66. It’s just a regular building where we keep our stuff and handle the daily accounts. I didn’t want to move to a big commercial complex because this place feels like home. Sometimes the street gets a bit narrow when trucks come to unload, but the neighbors are used to it by now. We handle a lot of different things depending on what is needed in the market. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning in every room. Usually, I’m sitting at the desk with a fan overhead, checking the papers. My family has been involved in trade for generations, so it’s just what we do. We don't really do advertisements or big posters. Word of mouth works just fine in a place like this. If someone is looking for me, they ask around the Brahminwada area and someone points them to my door. The work can be tiring, especially when the weather is hot, but seeing familiar faces every day makes it better. We try to be fair with everyone who walks in. It’s just me and a couple of helpers making sure things get where they need to go. We keep the ledger books updated and try not to make too many mistakes. We are just normal people doing our jobs.
